P.S March 93 os/2 drivers does not work with Bookmanager Read/2
by condition of scsi HD and CDROM access from same application.
Gone back to older version of drivers.
Are you going to use the MO stuff for DOS or OS/2? It is my understanding that
the MO disks formatted for DOS cannot be read by OS/2 and the opposite also. If
you are trying to use both on the same box, I don't think that is possible. I
tried it once and never had any success. If you do have success, please let me
know. Dave
Support for removable devices is supplied by IBM, not by Trantor. Remember,
with OS/2, like with WINNT, all we supply is the low level interface between
the operating system and the SCSI adapter. All the other drivers are supplied
by the operating system manufacturer.
We have found that since IBM treats removable media like a large floppy, if you
format under OS/2, you can read it with our DOS drivers (since we also support
that type of format). If you format it as a hard drive under DOS, OS/2 won't
be able to read it. You will need to first do a low level format to your media
under DOS with TFORMAT (remember to say YES not just Y when you are prompted
for the driver under TFORMAT), then go to OS/2 and format it as though it was a
floppy drive. See the OS2_read.ME file that comes with all our OS/2 drivers
for more info on that. (see! it does pay to read the documentation!)
