I have a Procom PICD650M internal CD-ROM. What sound or sound and video card will interface with this drive? Thanks

Hello, Johnathan. Depends on what you mean by interface. If you mean interface in terms of sound alone almost any of them should unless the Procom is very strange indeed. Your Procom card would take up one slot, the sound board another. They would interface via the sound cables. If you mean you want to save a slot and use a SCSI interface on a soundcard to drive your CD-ROM reader you are more limited. SoundBlaster uses an interface that only works with Panasonic/Matsushita/CL drives. The new ATI Stereo FX CD board has one that only works with Mitsumi. Some Media Vision cards have a full SCSI interface. So does the Cardinal, I believe. There are others as well. Unless that extra slot is very important to you, you really can buy whatever you want and whatever is best for you and your wallet.
