88,000 frames on a laser disk? It can play a 48 hour animation? What size file
per frame ? Sorry, I missed the beginning of this conversation.
thnx,
Gary
Gary,
PMJI……. The disk holds 43,500 frames per side total 87000 frames which
equals 24 minutes a side at 30 fps. Might want to recheck your math.

I knew I should have puttied in that hole in my head !
thnx,

Gary:
Paul answered the length, I'm not sure what you mean by "size file per
frame"?
It is a Beta Component system, with RGB, SVHS, VHS, and Beta in and out.

Does the frame storage requirement change with resolution, color depth, etc,
or am I out in left field? (like my math skills!)
thnx,
gary

Way out in left field! <g> The laser disk, like any video tape system, is
divided into a certain number of frames. Doesn't matter what you put on
them, that's how many there are.
No compression, color bit depth, etc. makes any difference.
