As always we wait until the last minute to do everything. Sooooo we are looking
for suggestions/phone numbers of hotels close to the Disneyland Park for the
week of Siggraph.
Greg? Happen to know of any?
Paul
You're kinda late. All big hotels around the convention center are full. I
managed to get a room at the Hilton (Lanai suite for $150 a night – any
"roomate" willing to split?). If you're lucky, try these:

Marriot (across the street from the Hilton) (714) 750-8000 Disneyland Hotel (a
couple of blocks away) (714) 778-6600
Others: min max distance (1 = near)

Gus,
Thanks alot. We'll make some calls this afternoon. We're not super concerned
with the distance because we're just there to have fun and I haven't been in
the area in almost 8 years. I kinda figured if it takes me a while to get to
and from the convention center, I might find interesting things to do along the
way. Last year I booked my rooms in Chicago 3 days before the conference, so
this year I'm way ahead of schedule.
You're certainly a wealth of info!
Thanks again, Paul
Gus,
I managed to get a couple of rooms through ACM at the Hilton on the Lanai
Floor. Is this near you?

Yep. B.T.W., what a mess I left you. I had no idea that "table" was going to be
totaly "unformatted" by this OzCIS thing.
Gus,
I appreciated the mess. It saved me hours of calling around.
Thanks, Paul
See you at Siggraph!

It's not OzCIS, it's plain old CIS. <g> What I did was get into the habit
of _always_ sending unformatted on the forums, CIS-mail is unformatted by
default.
Greg P
Greg & Gus,
If you preface each line with a "." CIS will not attempt to join lines
together. BTW, it will also remove the preceeding "." when the message is
saved.

Interesting tidbit! Thanks!
Greg
Greg,
Just another of the millions of practiclly worthless tidbits that clutter my
mental hardware .-)

Just keep sharing them with us! One man's worthless is another man's
project saver!

90/day they have shuttle for the 3 blocks to convention center, probably to
