How important or convenient is a CADDY-LESS drive? Should I look for a
caddy-less drive? Are there any caddy-less drives <300ms and 2x speed? I also
am planning to hook up to an existing Future Domain TMC-810(?) SCSI controller
that also has a Syquest 44meg drive presently attached. Does anyone know if
this will work? I have been looking at the Chinon 535 280ms 2x drive. Any
comments?
Any help in finalizing my decision will be extremely appreciated!!!

I'm not especially fond of the cost, but I really like the convenience of
caddies. All other things being equal, I'd certainly buy a caddy-type drive
again, especially since competition has cut the caddy price a lot.
