The current version of the CDR1700S has 128KB buffer built in, and they are
calling it MAX or CDR1700SX (ingram) or 1700SA. It is faster, more MPC
compatible but otherwise is equal to the 32K buffer version. The new drivers
are CDREXT5D with version 3.05 drivers for dos and add drivers for OS/2. The
list is $30, available from Todd or Laser Resources in carson, CA. These
drivers improbe the MPC transfer rate over 23K and decrease the cpu time used.
