I haven't tried using an RRD40 on a PC, but I have used an RRD42 quite
successfully (I understand that the RRD42 is a Sony OEM drive). CDROMs are
pretty generic if all you want to do is read data from them, so I'd hazard a
guess that it would work if you just plugged it in. I used the RRD42 under
OS/2 just using the standard OS/2 CDROM drivers.
