HE-E-E-E-L-L-L-P-P!! My wonderful A4000, 386BB system has gone belly up on the IBM side. I have been using the 386BB in my 2000 since about August, and my 4000 since late October with few problems. I have had the ATI Vantage VGA just about all that time. A couple of weeks ago, I got a hard drive and controller just for my BB side, and got all that going and was working with it just fine. However, now I can't get over to the BB side at all! The PC icon just locks up, the Z-Z-Z pointer locks up, and I have to reboot just to get my Amiga back. I have reseated the board several times, removed the VGA and hard drive, removed half my memory — same thing! SOB! I am far from any authorized Amiga service. I have to get my stuff mail order, basically. So — any suggestions? Comments? If I have to get it repaired, what does someone like me do? Donald Weed

Never mind. Apparently, there is a PD Unix shell (SKsh, I believe) which I had been trying out and which would seem to trash the BB in a major way! Anyway, after all that, all it took was 4 semi-colons in my User-Startup. Whew! Beware SKsh, all you BB users, or at least someone upload a work-around to allow the two to co-exist. Donald Weed
