Does anyone have the current drivers for a NEC CDR-38 CDROM drive??? I can't seem to get them from anyplace, including the NEC BBS, etc. I just bought the drive, and either lost or didn't receive the drivers….I would like to use the drive for something besides a computer hood ornament !!… Thanks

NEC can supply you with the drivers for their SCSI cards for the PC… just check their BBS. For Mac driver updates, you need to contact NEC Tech Support at 1-800-NEC-INFO… but only if you already have a Mac driver of theirs. If you just purchased the NEC drive, you wouldn't get drivers with it. NEC sells their drives and the drivers separately, since they don't want to charge their customers for software/hardware they don't need. Trantor Systems sells drivers for both the Mac and IBM platforms, and SCSI adapters, too. You can get the name of a local dealer and sales literature by calling 1-800-TRANTOR.
