Jeff,
I am importing .dxf files generated from AutoCad 12 .dwg files and tranfered to
.dxf files through a software program called DXFOUT. These CAD drawings are
of verticle assembly drawings of vinyl window systems. The objects have many
holes and interior chambers to them. The problem I encounter is that all of
the splines, polylines, and vertices come in to shaper as separate polygons.
I have to capture all of the vertices and then weld them together to get the
proper shape created in preparation for the Lofter. I there a way that these
vertices can already be connected (either in AutoCad 12 or through some other
conversion ((.dwg to .dxf)) program) so that I do not have to spend large
amounts of time welding vertices together that should already be connected?

Are you using AME? Are you meshing your models prior to export? Have you
considered buying Visual Link? These questions and more will be answered next
day, same BAT channel, same BAT time. (D= Alan – Hords of Fun!
