I'm interested to find out what's inside the C= A570 CD-ROM drive. Is it a
standard SCSI CD unit?
Is there anything else special in there. I have the chance to buy a used
one and am wondering if i could be caniballized for parts to work in
another Amiga.

I was told by one of the techs at a dealer/distributor that the drive is
not a standard SCSI. They tried to get it working on a standard SCSI card
& couldn't get it going. I was toying with the notion of gutting one &
putting the logic onto a Zorro card for a 2000. Then I thought better. 🙂
