To anyone who can help, I am writing a Visual Basic program that is calling the
MCI driver for Autodesk animation files. I am trying to play them in a picture
control on a form. I pass the window handle of the picture control but the
animation plays in a new window, evidently created by the driver. The technique
I am using to set the output window in the Visual Basic MCI command is working
properly because I am using the same scheme for Windows AVI files and they play
exactly as I would expect them to, in the picture control on the Visual Basic
form. I don't know why Autodesk ships 0 documentation on the MCI driver. I
bought the animation player development kit and there was no mention of the MCI
command set or anything. Just a file. Oh well… I would appreciate any input
on this subject including any documentation that anyone has on the use of the
