#Books?

Hello again, Greg.
Word has it that you carry the set of 3 books that Ms…. (I'm horrible with
names!) has done. One on the lofter, one on… well, I'm not sure, really,
that's why I'm contacting you. Could you give me a brief description of them,
with prices and ordering info?
thanks
Dan

You asked for it!
The books are: "Glass & Reflection", "Shaping & Lofting", and
"Morphing & Animation". Each book is about 60 pages long and comes
with a high-density diskette full of rendered images and meshes.
The 3D Studio Tips & Tricks Series is by Michele Bousquet and
Glenn Melenhorst.
"Glass & Reflection" covers: realistic glass; a foolproof method for making
autoreflection reflect what you want; animated reflection maps.
"Shaping & Lofting" covers: the Fit Tool in detail; how to loft your objects
so they land perfectly placed in the 3D Editor.
"Morphing & Animation" covers: making morphable objects; keeping your morphs
from pinching and puckering; 3D character animation.
For shipments to the US: Checks, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express.
Price is US$49.95 each plus US$7.50 shipping. Set of three is US$129.95
plus US$12.00 shipping. For credit card orders please include exact

Hi Greg,
What would it cost to get the books you wrote to Europe (the set of 3, or 1
single of the 3), and can I order if I would want to buy them by E-mail ?
By the way, I have a questiion for you, in one of my 3Dmodels when I render in
3Dstudio, one face in a large building wall, seems to render wrongly, when I
try to flip it it does not help (2 sided rendering is on), however when I split
the face up in 2 two faces, only one of those keeps the problem. Could it be
something I did by accident to the face I do not know. I tried redrawing it,
but in a complexe 3D drawing even if only one layer is active, this not simple
in 3Dstudio, much easier to change in AutoCAD.
Is there now way I could redraw that one troubling face in AutoCAD, and then
import it into 3Dstudio as a DXF, but how can I make sure it becomes part of
the same object in 3Dstudio ?? That is the trouble and the thing I'd like to
know more about.
Also in large 3Ddrawings as a building I really find it nearly impossible to
create 3Dmodels I can render with 2sided off, if it would be a small object no
problem, but when you copy or mirror things in AutoCAD etc…
the time you need to get all faces facing the right way, is really to much
money spend for nothing, I'd rather have some more rendering time in 3Dstudio,
at least I can let the PC do the work (while I sleep).
I do think some more can be done to solve this problem much mor userfriendly in
3Dstudio, maybe a tip for the next version ?
Christophe,
