Hi Greg. Siggraph is, as you know, right around the corner (few days away), and our #$^%ing demo tape that was supposed to be ready a month ago (ha!) is just NOW getting to the service bureau to be layed on tape. What's worse, the equipment that's supposed to lay the tga's to tape might be packed up and gone to MACWORLD before the tape is done. So, I have a twofold question: 1) If the excrement hits the fan, and the bureau's stuff is already at Macworld (long story), how fast can you lay 1900+ frames to tape, and what do you generally charge for this. The media is CMS Jumbo (qic 40). 2) There will, no doubt, be some quirks and faults in the 1st runthrough of our demo tape, and I (definitely?) won't have time to fix these before Siggraph. I'm hoping to show the tape to you, and a few other gracious CIS Asoft folks who've expressed interest in seeing the tape (sub-contracting, etc…), but don't know if it is wise to show a slightly (at least) faulted demo tape. In the movie biz, where I started out, the word is not to burn any bridges, i.e. wait 'till it's 'perfect' to show a potential client. Considering the tremendous opportunity siggraph presents to me and my partner, however, wouldn't it be prudent to show the tape anyway, as long as it's not totally skewed. I'm counting on you immense expertise and experience in these matters to give me a solid, failsafe answer. <g,d,&r> Thanks, John Tissavary
