Hi Steven, Two sources I use are Animation from Script to Screen by Shamus Culhane and Media Law for Producers by Philip Miller. Shamus Culhane's book targets traditional cel animation. It does, however, have a sample contract on page 308 and you can modify it to fit computer animation because the steps are similiar for approvals, payments and responsibilities. On page 61 of Media Law for Producers there is a project contract that is quite thorough. It is called a production agreement and may more closely resemble what goes on in a computer animation production. You will, of course, have to make the necessary changes to it. I beleive Media Law for Producers is in its 2nd edition. Anyway, both of the these resources have what you need, but from two different angles. They also have additional information that will be important to you. I highly recommend both of them to you for your library. Culhane, Shamus. Yes, they do have lawyers that specialize in this. If not a media lawyer, you should at least have your lawyer give it his or her blessing.
