#scala start up script

Hi John, Mike Brennan from Sir Render A/V. This is my second message to you,I
was wondering if you got my first? re: Scala start up script. I wish to write
an auto start up script (boot g-lock,boot scala, start scala script) for the
machine I have iinstalled at the Showboat casino. This is a must in case of a
power down/crash at a time when I'mm not available to fix things. For some
reason, the T.D. and leads at Showboat have trouble running the thing, and
don't want to take the time to have me teach the staff. This is very important
to me.If you need my scala serial # let me kmow, and I'll E mail it to you. I
know (think) that I'll need to boot the g-lock first (g-lock >nil:) then scala,
but how do I auto start the script? Please get back to me, thanks….Mike

To automatically start a Scala script from a "cold boot" do the following:
1. Start Scala and load the script that you want to start from the "cold boot".
2. From the main menu, press the "System" button.
3. On the left-hand corner of the screen, you will see a button called
"AutoLoad:" Press it once. The name of the script will appear in the button.
4. Press the "Save configuration" button once.
5. Press the "OK" botton once.
6. Exit out of Scala.
As you have mentioned in your message, you will need to run the G-Lock software
via >NIL: in the "User-Startup" file. Then enter the following:
;BEGIN Scala
Stack 20000
Work:Scala/ScalaMMPlayer >NIL:
;END Scala
Of course, I assume that you have a device name called "Work" and that the path
or drawer where Scala is located is called "Scala". If not, enter the name of
the device (e.g. HD1:) or device name and correct path as necessary.
