I'm thrilled to have my A3000 back to full function (despite the 180
odd MB lost). My recent experiences have made me think hard about a future
upgrade for a desktop computer (I have a laptop in addition to my olde A3000).
I used to have a tag line at the end of my messages, that I was waiting for the
A5000, but I don't see that ever happening now…

Roy, a 4000 with an 060 Cyber board and a Picasso/Retina board sounds like
a mighty fine subs for a 5000 if they never get here, IMHO. For that
matter, a 3000 with those same two items is FAR better than a 4000 B-)
