Darrin, A while ago Paramount Pictures contacted all the Compuserve Forums and asked them to remove all Star Trek related files due to possible copyright infringements. Some of them are back, but not a wide selection will be found here on CIS. You might have a better shot looking for models on Some of the Graphics BBS's. Oh yes, there are a lot of models like that on the Syndesis CD-ROM as well. -Brian

I'm doing an architectural interior/ exterior with a Star Trek theme. I'd need the Enterprise, and shuttle, and maybe some alien figures. The project is a pretty high-profile space, so I can't say exactly what it is. The architectural firm I work for just bought me 3D Studio so I'm a virgin user. I need all the head start I can get. The Hi-Lux BBS is a goldmine, and as soon as I become an accomplished modeller I plan to contribute to their library. I have seen many ads for your models and like what I've seen. It's an interesting new business and going many new directions. Has Viewpoint thought about developing some type of standard for verbally communicating the amount of detail for model types? You guys seem like a likely candidate for setting such standards. Just a thought. I'll have to ask my employer about contacting Paramount. It sounds like a good idea. Thanks for your response.

Bob: Hi-Lux BBS: 415 864-2434 Also, try: The Rendering Plant: 816 525-5614 Hi-Lux is a free board, RP is pay. I just got on Hi-Lux for the first time yesterday, and from my initial scan, and a couple random dl's, I'd say that RP is better. They're more committed to providing cleaned, mapped (often) models w/ good descriptions. Again, this is only an initial assessment on my part, and I'm sure they both offer useful items.
