I have just ordered an EMPLANT board but I have not purchased ROM chips yet. Some people have told me that, given access to a real Mac, you can download the ROM image via a software utility other people have told me that this is just not true. Utilities Unlimited hasn't been answering either their tech or sales lines all week, so I am unable to contact them in this regard. Can anyone tell me if this is true or not? Thank you James J. Perry

Yes, this is true. We provide a program called 'ROMINFO' that is a real MAC application. You move it to the MAC you are going to be dumping the ROMs from (MAC II, MAC IIx, or MAC IIcx *only*… no other machine can be used) and run it. Once you have dumped the ROM image, move it back to the Amiga and select it in the emulation setup. Remember, under copyright laws, you are not allowed to use the emulation and the MAC the ROM image came from at the SAME TIME.
