#Best Vidcard for 3ds?

Maybe, to buy the PCI version of Impression is better. Impression cards are
able to do hardware assisted 3D shading.

Pavel,
Yes, if you need 3D shading now in ACAD or 3DS (thanks to your IPAS programs).
If you only need 2D, then Ultima is faster than Impression. But if you need 3D
shading and can wait until Comdex, you could buy a board based on GLiNT, which
seems to me a way better solution than any of the current 3D offerings by
companies such as Matrox or Artist.
If you are not familiar with GLiNT, you should contact with Osman Kent at
3DLabs and ask him for information (you told me that you are interested in
provide 3D support for anything out there, right?). Given your current
experience in IPAS programing and 3D, I am sure that you can have a _very
interesting_ chat with him. His ID# is 100013,536. Maybe it could be a great
opportunity for you.
Cheers!

You are right, but the talk was about 3DS, not about Windows.
BTW, I received some materials regarding GLiNT chip. It seems like a very
powerfull piece of silicon. GLiNT has only one disadvantage for me, I will need
to upgrade my machine to the PCI (or buy a second one) <g>.
It seems that they already have something for 3DS, but I want to buy GLiNT
based board as soon as possible. Maybe there will be the opportunity for some
interesting programming.
Best regards
