Beware of Protoview!

Hi John,
I don't know Protoview products, but I've been following this thread,
and I think you're a bit too impatient. As it appears you posted
your warning about Protoview after less than a week since you asked
them technincal question. I'm also a developer, and I always demand
my problems to be resolved _immediately_, but I understand what
software problem is, and I realize that it's usually hard to deal
with.
For example, we had problems installing Daytona with Adaptec VL2842
controller. Eventually we received an explanation from some other
NT user, but there was no message from MS, not even a confirmation
that they've read it. The same goes to the problem with CTL3D. Windows
just dies when you use 3D effect with owner draw list boxes. No reply
from MS, lots from other developers. Should I start another thread
"Beware of Microsoft"? No, I shoudn't. I'm pretty certain they've read
messages from our company, and they will do something about it in the
future. Of course, it would be nice if they'd written a notification,
but in other cases they come up with not just a notification,
but a complete solution. Even when I don't expect a solution.
That's developers' world. We can start suing each other for every
wrong
word we say, but will it make our lives easier? You said you had to
delay your project because of the problem with Protoview. Then it
must be
something wrong with your project planning, if one unanswered question
made everything fail. You just bought a product, how can you expect to
ship another product based on that in a short time?
I would recommend you not to forget that we're all humans, we make
mistakes, have vacations, forget important things etc. I think your
situation is not something which should make this large developers
world
(this message is from Norway) take negative side about Protoview.
Just a personal opinion
