Checker Texture ?'s

Hiya's! I've been playing with the checks texture, and I've been experiencing some difficulty in producing a 'clean' checkered texture on a modified plane object. The plane has been tweaked using the magnet to produce bends and folds. I've noticed though that the checks get split diagonally in terms of color in certain area's and do not appear to be a 'blanket' of checks. I was wondering if there was a way to overcome this or if it is normal for this to occur when deforming a plane in this manner. Thanks in advance! One option is to use states. Start with the flat plane, get your checkerboard texture the right size, it should work with default values, and then create a state, (i.e. FLAT) with shape and maybe properties. Go to your texture, specify the lockstate as the state you just created. Then you can warp your flat plane and the checks will follow it. Only problem you might have is that the checks might stretch in a way you don't like.
