I would love to know where all these people get off on the idea the Samsung bid
is but a rumour, when Samsung themselves here in Australia have officially
admitted "on the record" to being involved with negotiations. Furthermore, we
have spoken directly to Samsung in Seol and have had confirmed their continued
interest in the technology.

The original Samsung offer was presented by the Trustees to the court on May
31, 1994. The court felt that bid, as well as that of others, was
unacceptable, and told all parties to try again. After that time, until a week
or so ago, Samsung had not prepared another bid nor was in anyway pursuing the
technology.
You, and by implication, your magazine, reported the Australian Samsung
connection. If memory serves, that was before the 31 May date. Do you have
any information obtained after that date that is currently relevent?
