#386 BB question

I have a A2500 (020') with 7 megs on that side and a 386 Bridgeboard with 5
megs on that side.
I tried putting a CD-Rom in a while back and because of the IRQ's setting, I
was unable to get it to work right, so I removed it. ever since I have had a
problem with the system that if I reboot the PC I get this as the system boots.
640K Base Memory, 04096K Extended (normal)
Janus Handler Version 36.85 (normal again)
No Janus Memory Structure found ( NOT Normal)
then everything loads fine till it gets to Atime and Amouse (they are the last
2 lines in the autoexec.bat) and then it says that it can't find them.
If I reboot the Amiga (warm) I get this..

Janus Library version 36.83 (Hmmm looks right)
then the system LOCKS up when it hits Atime and I have reboot from the Amiga
side and then I get the No Janus memory…..
If after that I turn the machine off for a minute or so and turn it on, I get a
mesage that the last boot failed, please hit "alt-crtl-esc" to run setup or use
pc-reset if I use pc-reset, it doesn't work right, but if I run setup and just
hit end, (doing nothing in setup) the system loads fine…
My question is, what is failing here? any ideas? HELP!!!

David, I would check the order in which the Binddrivers and BB related
commands are being executed in the startup sequence. Also, I forget if
the 020 cpu has cache memory. If it does, you will want to turn the cache
off before Binddrivers and back on afterwards.
I don't have a BB anymore (I'm waiting for the Emplant 486) so I can't
give you the specifics.

you don't have to turn off the cache with an '020 as it only has an
instruction cache. The BB has a problem with systems that have a data
cache, so you either have to turn it off for the '030 or '040, or Run
Enforcer >NIL: Quiet.

when I've experienced this problem, I did a complete reinstall of the
BB software on the Amiga side and the IBM side. That seems to take care
of it in about half the cases. You might also want to check for IRQ and
I/O address mismatches, although you shouldn't have any. Use MSD if you
have DOS 6.0 or better to confirm.
