To ALL,
Could someone please advise me on which is the best Monitor available for
my A4000/EC 030 ? I am currently using a Philips CM 8802 which worked fine
with my AMIGA 500. I have noticed that there is a lot of monitors avilable
for PC's, some of which look pretty tempting but I am afraid I would have
compatibility problems if I purchased one.

If you get a new one and want to sell your old one please give me a price to
see if I can purchase it from you. I've been Amigaless far too long and I
can't stand these blasted beeps from my IBM.

If you are in the U.S. or Canada, you can purchase the CEI 1962A from Creative
Equipment International. It is a 14" .28 dot-pitch, multi-sync monitor that
can scan from 15 KHz to 36 KHz. Price is around $500.00 U.S.

Dear John,
Thank you for your information. I live in Cornwall England and the choice
of Monitors here seeems to be limited to just one make " Microvitec" which
has had good reviews but I will keep an eye open for the CEI 1962A. Also
do you happen to know if I can use a 3.5" IDE Hard Drive as advertised in
PC mags for my Amiga 4000/EC 030 as these seem to be a lot cheaper than
the ones advetised in AMIGA mags.

I *believe* most 3.5" IDE drives will work without problem, BUT make sure
you set the MAXTRANSFER rate to 128K (0x1fe00) for each partition using
the HDToolBox.
