Is the UU BBS stopped too ? Or it is too hot in Arizona now ? ( In Paris it is
very hot : I asked my boss to install a pool near my office… 🙂
Our BBS is down until I can replace the system. The heat here has caused some
problems with the power systems, and a nasty surge destroyed the entire BBS
system (which is the only system not the surge protection system)… figures.
It is getting cooler though (down to 118 degrees now), so I hope things return
to normal soon. 🙂
Hi Jim, I have been trying to get our Emplant up and running. Finally had some
success using ROMINFO. The same roms when installed in the emplant woudn't
create a useable image (just get a 0-K file in RAM). But it comes up from the
ROMINFO capture OK – using a true MacII. I thought maybe my DumpDip program
was faulty. Anyway, now that I can run the emulation, I always get the message
that I am trying to boot with a minimal version of the system software and to
install the correct version for this
machine. Then I must restart. This comes up even though I am using the same
system
folder from the machine that the rom image came from. I have set 24bit
addressing,
4MB system ram, and I am using the Emplant.SCSI to boot from a Mac hard drive.
I
have been able to get it up using a emergency startup disk in DF0: but it
doesnUt seem
to like any system 7.X startup disks no matter what settings I use. I was
hoping to get
some clues, updates, etc. from your BBS. Can you help?
