I'm trying to "clean up" some pleistocene sea shells I recently collected and could use some advice. They are encrusted in a very hard cement like matrix that I can't seem to remove without damaging the specimen itself. Does this require dental tools? Is there an easier way? BTW, where does one get dental tools? Can I get them mail-order? Any help, encouragement/discouragement, would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Greg
