Charlie, Time for me to buy a new modem, as 2400 Baud is really slow. Which modem do you use, any ideas about the dolphin, i heard the box looked not that solid. Could you do a test for me ? Write down memory before starting AVM and all, and write it down after starting AVM and all? I would like to know the difference. Hans Keesom Amsterdam PS. Would be nice if AVM would use Caller-id. That way one could personalise the answering-message. For me interesting as persons call from other countries to me.

Hans, I ran that test and AVM used 1,110,896 bytes of ram. Keep in mind that using the generic recorder, a 1 min. message ate approx. 104,000 bytes so if you get a lot of calls and leave it unattended for long periods you should have a lot of ram. I belive the registered version will handle Caller ID if your phone system offers it. I'm sorry but I dont know anything about the Dolphin (All though I did have over a hun- dred real ones playing around my boat off shore on monday and it was fabulous, I see them all the time but never in such a large group.) I just bought a Zoom 14.4 V and am happy with it so far. Good Luck Charlie
