Hi All,
Bill Allen Editor/Publisher of 3D Artist magazine asked me to relay this msg
here on ASOFT so here it goes:
* Please relay to other graphics forums, mail lists, BBSs *
Subjects: –3D ARTIST goes full color, adds Mac coverage –Free sample of 3D
freelancing special issue –Writing opportunities –Theater "for the rest of"
us @ Siggraph '94 –3D calendar items –3D ARTIST on Internet
3D ARTIST issue #15 is our first to have inside color, and first to fully
integrate Mac 3D into our coverage with Amiga and PC 3D. This issue has *5*
articles about how to do 3D freelancing, a report and listings about schools
that teach 3D, and much more. 48 pages total, 22 color.
If you haven't seen 3D ARTIST, ask for a free copy of 3DA#15. (Outside North
America, we request us$2 for postage, or will send a few pages free.) We don't
receive messages or E-mail anywhere yet (see below), so send requests to 3D
ARTIST, P.O. Box 4787, Santa Fe, NM 87502, USA; fax 505/820-6929; voice mail
505/820-6929 ext. 3; or voice 505/982-3532–ask for editors Sally Beach or Alex
Kiriako.
European Community artists can subscribe to 3D ARTIST via RayTech BBS,
44-862/83-2000 voice, -2002 fax, -2020 BBS, E-mail: psmith@raytech.demon.co.uk
3DA#16 is at press early for Siggraph, so some subscribers may see #16 there
before receiving #15 at home (3DA#15 went into the mail 7/12).
We need tips and how-to articles for Aladdin, Imagine, Presenter Pro, and
trueSpace, and could use more for LightWave, MacroModel, Renderize, RenderMan,
Topas, and Vistapro, plus AutoCAD add-in renderers. We're doing well for 3D
Studio, Playmation, POV, Real 3D, and StudioPro, but will need even more as
issues come out faster. (If your favorite 3D program isn't mentioned, we could
use your help in building a reader constituency for it.)
