Plasma ball/glow IPAS

I am currently working on a game for Sierra On-Line and need some hints or how
too's on getting the plasma ball effect as real as poss. I pretty much have
the electricity like I want it but the arcs of electricity don't glow like I
want them. I have two guide lines with this plasma ball: Dimensions, 32×32
and glow can't extend past plasma ball.

Hey Pal, I'm very interested in getting the glow just the way I wanted on
complex objects. If you get an anwer from Yost Group, would you let me share
some hints?
