How has your experience been with the smart and freindly CDR-1002?, I am
considering purchasing one along with the Corel Cd-Creator.

That's the configuration I'm using (CD Creator)…so far so good! Took a few
days to setup, but I've not had a bad disc yet…

Charles,
I will be ordering one a 1002 soon, I will also need an A/V drive any
suggestions? I don't think more tham 1 gig will be required.

I'm using a non-AV drive (Seagate 31200) and it works fine…

Charles,
I did some research at Seagate and for your info, the drive you have operates
by delaying thermal recalibration (which could corrupt the CD-R process) until
a non-critical (non read-write) situation. The tech person could not guarantee
however that it would work with all CD-R drives.
This drive is about $500 cheaper than the Micropolis alternative. Microplolis
AV drive have no thermal recalibration (even safer).
I will likely get a similar 31230 drive and the sony 1002.
How many CD's have you successfully burned with this equipment? Any glitches?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for passing along the info…interesting. I've done about 10 CD-R's so
far and all but one were good. I guess my only complaint so far is I'd like to
use Corel CD-Creator with Windows 95 and it's not yet compatible. If I've ever
been woried about creating a coaster, I do the recording in "simulate mode" and
when it works, do the real thing…
