#How's the Philips522?

Interested in hearing from those with experience with Philips 522 CDROM
recorder. Am considering purchase of that unit for backing up large libraries
of rendered animation image sequences. If you have comments on its
reliability, ease of use, reliability of disks written with it, etc. I'd be
grateful for your information about it. Thanks.
The Philips 522 is arguably the best recorder available in terms of
reliability, compatibility (of media and software), ease of use (huge
expandable buffer for use with just about any hard drive), and
price/performance. I would recommend it above all others for the data archiving
applications you described.
We carry the Philips as well as all the other CD-Recorders available, but the
Philips outsells overything else by 10 to 1.
