I have a Dell Dimension 466DL fitted with a Mitsumi CD ROM. According to the supplied driver software for DOS: ATAPI IDE CD ROM v1.21 it is an IDE device. I am trying to get NetWare 4.10 to recognise the device, but it's having none of it. I have tried IDE.DSK and IDEATA.DSK, but neither seems to want to know. The drive works fine under DOS. The IDE hard disc also in the machine works fine under DOS and NetWare. According to the DOS driver software (which, as I said, works) the drive is unit 0, slave, IRQ 14, base 1F0. When I give the NetWare IDE driver these settings, all that happens is that it recognises the hard disc. I have, of course, loaded CDROM & NWPA. Any ideas? Darren

From what I understand, Netware only supports SCSI CD-ROM drives right now. You may want to GO NOVELL for more information.
