Hello:
I would like to know how i can tune my image resolution exactly with the size
and DPI. For example how i can have an image og 1024×768 with 150 DPI?
When i open the final render (TIFF) in Adobe Photo Shop the image is smaller
than the first one because the DPI are different.

Image resolution is easy as you just fill in the width and height, but you knew
that. A .tif created in 3DS may show up in Photoshop as 72 DPI or even 1 DPI
by default. This can easily be changed to whatever you desire with Photoshop's
Image/Image Size command off the menu. Constrain both the File Size and the
Proportion and you can then alter the Resolution of your image to be whatever
you'd like without changing the number of pixels. In 3DS I know of no way to
specifically render to a DPI setting.

Yours could be a loaded question so I'll ask a few questions of you so I can
understand what your requirements are. What is the maximum resolution of your
printed output? What output device are you using? What is the final size in
inches of the printed area you wish to fill with your 3DS .tif file? (1024 x
768 is a computer screen resolution which does not translate too easily to a
common printed page size.) 1024 x 768 at 150 DPI will yield a printed area of
6.82" x 5.08". Is this the size you wish? If so, render at 1024 x 768 in 3DS
and change the DPI in Photoshop as I mentioned above. Once saved in Photoshop
the image will forever be recalled at that DPI.

Mauricio, In addition to what Robert told you you should be aware that if
you're going to an actual printing shop that the LPI they give you (150 line
screen) will need to be rendered at about twice that (300 dpi). So, if you want
to print a 5×4 image with a 150 line screen you'd need to render to 1500×1200.
DPI and LPI are really only a function of the output device. I know it can be
confusing at first though. You'll get it.
