Help,
I am having real problems running 3ds4 on my new Gateway P5-90,
and I do not know what else to do. The problem is, 3ds4 takes about 2/3 minuets
to load, when it is load it all works until I render, then when it get to
'Transforming objects' it stops, pressing return somtimes makes it carry on and
it then renders fine.
I have tried installing the latest in line driver, but to no use. If
anybody can help I would be most grateful.

Look in your config.sys or autoexec.bat if there is something like a driver for
low power mode (APM ?). If so remove it and try again. I had this problem a few
months ago.

Look for POWER.EXE in your startup files – that's probably the culprit. As for
starting slowly, what's your graphics card? Is it by any chance an ATI?
