I'm sitting here browsing through the latest Dr Dobbs Journal, running light
without overbyte, and came across an article on "Java". It's a programming
language similar to C and C++, but simpler. A Java program is compiled to a
binary format based on the instruction set for a virtual machine. A control
program then runs this, or it can be further compiled down to native machine
language. Interfaces are present for calling to/from C and C++.
It would be real interesting to have something like this built into 3ds (as a
plugin) for scripting.
