When I move a camera, or its FOV, as opposed to moving an object, the playback "pulsates" in a jerky fashion. Can you give me any pointers on producing smoother camera moves? Thanks, Paul

If you move a camera, quite often the entire scene will change each frame, which will slow down playback. If instead you move an object in front of a static background, you will attain higher speeds/smoother playback, as less of the image is refreshed/changed each frame. This will also give you smaller flic files, which is nice. If you really need the camera to move, render to a lower resolution (320×240, 240×180, etc.) to get the playback speed you want, especially if it is 30fps. 15fps usually looks pretty good for flics, IMO. 2.) Is this for video? Make sure to render to fields. 3.) If it is the camera, or FOV changes, that are the source of the jerkiness, make sure you are up on the T/C/B settings for keys. The default ease to/from settings should give you nice smooth moves. Perhaps you have "over-keyed" the camera movements (too many keys)? See Tutorial 14, and the appropriate section of the Reference Manual for more info. It is very important to Read The Fine Manual! Paul S. Oops! Might need a different tag line! <g>
