I am having a problem with 3d Studio v4 – Sometimes in the 3d editor, the wireframe seems to be minimized to the point where you can no longer tell what objects are. Instead of a complete view, there are just fractions of the objects which make it imposible to discern the size, shape, and location of the objects. What causes this and how can we correct this problem. Incidentally, we are running Liquid Speed – would that be the cause of this problem? I know it optimizes the redraw time in the wireframe editor, but what we are experiening is totally ridiculous. Thanks!

John, Sounds like you have FastView enabled. You can change the display settings (how detailed) from the pull-down menus. The side-bar menu (under Display) affects other display attributes (lines, backfaces, etc.). Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates

John, >> there are just fractions of the objects which make it imposible to discern the size, shape, and location of the objects << sounds like you are in speed draw or fastview mode. RTFM, pages 7-237 to 7-239 and also pages 3-56.

<<Instead of a complete view, there are just fractions of the objects which make it imposible to discern the size, shape, and location of the objects.>> Without sounding totally condescending, have you accidently got Fastview turned on? Press V in the viewport and see if that helps. DaviD "modelling in fractions" GouID
