I don't know Alec Jason a.k.a. (Alexander Jason)'s CIS ID number so this message is posted to everyone. Watching HBO tonight I caught a few of your pieces on TV. It seems that everywhere I turn I see more of your stuff. Nice Work! Kinda ironic that you put together forensic pieces for court and you get more airtime than most of the people who do work for t.v. <BG> Paul

Paul, Thanks for your comment! I didn't know when HBO was going to show my stuff. Do you recall which segments they used? << . . . you get more airtime than most of the people who do work for tv >> Well, what's funny about that is almost all of my work shown on TV is NOT "broadcast quality." The segment which got the most airtime — the Mitchell Brothers homicide — was just a 320×200 fli. I did recently produce over 30 minutes of animation segments on the OJ Simpson case for CBS News and "48 Hours" — all 24 bit PAR-BetaSP. And after seeing the beauty of high technical quality animation, I do find it aesthetically diffcult to go back to eight-bit forensic flc's. Thanks for the notice. Alec Jason

I don't know the names of the pieces shown simply because I'm not saavy enough to be familiar with the various cases. They were all lower res shots but impressive none the less. The very first forensic piece I ever saw was your Mitchell Brothers piece on the old 3DSCD. I must've played it 100 times. I'd love to see your OJ pieces. Any chance their on the 3DS reel this year? Once Again… Great Job, . Paul

<< I'd love to see your OJ pieces. Any chance they're on the 3DS reel >> No, I don't have anything on the Siggraph reel. I may bring a tape down to Siggraph and show some of the stuff at the party. << . . . Great job >> Thanks again for the comments. Alec Jason

Mark, << Will the "48 Hours" epsisode with your animations be broadcast ? >> It was, last Thursday, I think. They may show some more tomorrow night. "48 Hours" is having a special on OJ. I'll find out tomorrow and let you know.

Alec, << [48 Hours episode] It was, last Thursday, I think. >> Hmm, I believe that last Thursday's episode was on the adventures of vacationing. << I'll find out tomorrow and let you know. >> Please do. Thanks, Mark

Mark, I don't know if any of my segments will be used tonight. The "48 Hours" crew are all on DEFCON2 as they have to put the show together on the fly. I talked with them today at 1 pm EST and they still haven't decided on the content. My guess is that this show won't use any — or maybe just a few moments. Alec Jason
