There isn't much preventing you from doing it today. Anyone running a NFS
network can do that with release 4. The problem though, you'd better get a T1
link or it will take longer to transfer the images than the time it took to
render them, defeating the whole purpose of network rendering. Not to mention
the initial transfer of the project file, maps and what not.

No doubt, and provided you don't have to do any complex compositing, and the
lines are clean… and there's no glitches on the other end…
Murphy's law really comes into play here… <g>

Either T1 or a cable modem setup. Of course the only reasonable choice right
now is T1, if you can justify that as reasonable.
Thanks for the reality check Gus. It is never-the-less an idea that has
enticed me for a long time. Thanks to John for pointing it out.
