#Tips Ala Adesk per Cara
6 messages in this thread
Hey all…
In case you've missed it, in lib 19, Cara from Adesk has been posting tips on a
variety of subjects… just a few at present but quite a few for the number of
days they've been posted… on a variety of topics. Nice idea and if I may make
a suggestion, an ASCII version would also be useful, especially for those who'd
like to be able to read them on-line… (At present they are MS-Word 6.0 )
Thanks,
John
John,

If you GO MSL, you can download a free Word 6.0 file viewer that also lets you
print! It can also be retrieved from www.microsoft.com.

Thanks John, I'll check it the the Word file viewer. I've been converting in
AMI Pro and its a nuisance. <g>

Hey John,
If you got two posts on this, I was going to write you again anyways. I'm
impressed with this viewer and I think I'm going to get MS Word 6.0. Do you
have a full Word version? If the viewer is any indication its quite
uncluttered, too many icons and macros in Ami Pro which is great if you're a
novelist or researcher but I just write the occasional article and the standard
business letter and its too much this and that in Ami Pro. I'd pay more for
less, just functional simplicity… <g>
>> free Word 6.0… <<
Uh huh, just enough to entice me into getting it. <g>
Thanks BTW 🙂

John,

Yea; I ended up getting it because of compatibility. I should be getting the NT
version in here any day now. I don't know if it's less cluttered than AMI Pro;
and I haven't seen the stand-alone viewer. Word *does* have a lot of icons, but
I think you can close most of them down.

Thanks John,
I can do the competitive upgrade quite reasonably, so I'll give it a go.
