Anyone done any stereo imaging(the kind with the funky two colored glasses) with 3DS? I am wondering if there are any programs that will convert two cammera rendered images into one stereo image for viewing with the glasses. Generally any methods and advice would be helpfull. Thanks, Daniel

>>Anyone done any stereo imaging(the kind with the funky two colored glasses) with 3DS? I am wondering if there are any programs that will convert two cammera rendered images into one stereo image for viewing with the glasses. Generally any methods and advice would be helpfull.<< Someone asked this question last spring, and lo & behold! here was my response to them: — I am using a Windows program called "3D Maker" from Synthonics, Inc. (Westlake Village, CA ph# 1.818.707.6000) to do my red\blue conversions. Ads for it are frequently in "New Media" magazine (they are the ads that usually have a large red/blue image with the headline "Image of the Month", I think this month's is a chameleon). 3D Maker is extremely fast, but might be difficult to use over a series of animation frames, because it only works with still images and not animation files. The process is fairly simple, load a right view, load a left view, set stationary points in both views and hit the 'Make 3D' button. It then generates a full color (kinda') stereo image using red and blue overlapping. I have found that when rendering both eye views that wide-angle camera lens' don't work because the object distortion on the outside edges is too great for the 3D stereo overlap to work correctly. I have had to really tame down my left and right views to get proper 3D.— I hope this helps! Sean Platter
