Some further input on the 'Phantom Object'. I have an object of a bird in flight. When viewd in it's initail perspective, ie: they way it was created, it looks fine. If I rotate it I get a rectangle bisecting the wing at a fixed joint of the wing. If I rotate it more I get a bigger rectangle. This happens on either wing or both depending on the rotation of each axis. When the scene is viewed in Picture or Wire-Frame there is no indication of a stray object. Only in Snapshot & Photo does this aberration occur. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen some odd effects also with mirros… probably a side effect of the polygon clipping. I am very impressed that intersecting triangles are split, even in paint mode. As a long time graphics hacker, I appreciate it. As far as selected pixels being rendered in the wrong place… i can give Some clues: 1) I am running in 2.5 meg with a 30 k stack. 2) I am dealing with 1500 or so vertices 3) I always use the windows stretched as large as they go (nice menu command needed here). As it madly refreshes the window, it occasionally puts "North's" highlights in "East" (which is on top of it) etc. etc. Also, it wipes out the window borders in some of the bit planes, making them yellow or brown.. I suspect a call to Lock Layers or something like that is needed while the windows are refreshing (Note that the call must be in effect while all three refresh). Also, I have a fairly early copy (i.e. two weeks old!!) in case you've been fixing things week to week. I have also gotten "Ham" artifacts… streaking and the like.. Is it time to go to a 50K stack?? (It's actually running as I type in background..) I'm looking forward to Animate… I hope it hooks into the existing interfacevia some port (the way I'd do it) and a few extra gadgets. Big fan… J H H Lowengard

Now I know what you mean by selected pixels. The Tri-View has that funny behaviour because you are changing the size of a 3-D block of space, so changing the size of one window changes the size of others. It seems that if you do mouse activity while this is going on, the borders sometimes get trashed. I am pretty lethargic with my mouse, so I've only seen it a couple of times. C= says it may be a bug in 1.2, but I'm sure I can figure out a work- around. It's strictly a cosmetic bug. Click on the resize gadget (without resizeing) to clean up the display. It's down at the bottom of my bug list, but I won't forget.
