Erv, OBERON was described briefly in a document circulated by Wirth on the Nets (APRANet, etc…). If you like, I can mail you a copy (the computer file I have is a TEX file, so probably I would have to use U.S. Mail). Anyway, OBERON is a language stripped of everything that PASCAL and M2 users know and love. For example, no enumerated types, no FOR loop and few other things. On the other hand, the language has a method to extend types (I can't re-call just now what Wirth calls it). This new feature is similar to things in C++ and other "object" languages, although it seems more straight-forward. Send me some Email if you'd like to see the document…..Richie
