The simplest way to download with Access! is to let CIS do all the work. 1st of
all hit Left-Amiga-B until you get a reply that CIS-B protocol is ENABLED.
then you just go into the libraries, and browse (if you're looking for Whap!,
try library 16 in AmigaTech).
In response to Disposition! you type DOW (short for download)
It will prompt you for what protocol you wish to use (select CIS-B, or
Compuserve-B).
It will ask you for the name you wish to call it on YOUR computer (be sure to
type in the FULL path name (e.g. df1:whap.arc) so Access knows where you want
it.
That's it….CIS and Access! decide what size bufers to use, and off it goes
(or rather here it comes)
Vic,
I think with your extremely clear and concise instructions even I should
be able to begin downloading with my brand new Amiga. Gosh, I feel like a
teenager getting ready for my first date.
Thanks,
Mike
