Palmer, I can't speak about Quarterback, but I can speak for saf-T-net, which is an other hard disk backup program (I am the author). It works quite well with both the old and the to-be-released Fast-File-System. There is a review of saf-T-net in issue #1 of Transactor for the Amiga. If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask. ..Bob

Palmer, Don't know much about QuarterBack but if your looking for a backup program, take a look at safTnet also. safTnet does work with the 1.3 FFS and it's author (Bob Rakosky) is a daily visitor of this forum. Which means help is only as far away as your modem. Dale

Palmer – As a user of saf-T-net I can vouch for what Bob (the less than impartial author of same) has written. saf-T-net is _EASY_ to use. You do not have to even provide formatted diskettes, it does it as necessary. AND I have done it both ways – BACKUP and RESTORE. – Nelson (An impartial friend of Bob's) \_grin_/

I've been using quarterback and am mostly pleased. I've had a lot of hd trouble, and I've used the backups and restores heavily. The only problems are in file selection – it ignores the do not back up file by name option and backs up files anyway, and on restore, if you tell it not to overwrite, it stops at every file that it finds exists and asks you if it should overwrite. After the first couple hundred files you get pretty p o'd. Ron

Ron, You should've tried the best (Saf-T-Net) instead of the rest! -sja
