Surely your experiences as a sysop have taught you never to ASSUME anything!
Actually I guess this obvious solution did not occurr to me because I use The
Director from the cli. I will copy Preferences over to my working Director
disk, run it and adjust the screen centering gadget and save the results.
Its funny, when I first got my Amiga I used to fiddle endlessly with
Preferences and now it is all but forgotten.

awfully long time, and usually found that the most obvious things were the most
