#Lost Orders

I would like to make a comment/complaint about the handling of my most recent order from your company. I purchased a Hard Drive controller a few weeks ago, to connect a Micropolis 80 Meg HD to my 1000. Found out I needed new PAL chips, so we ordered them directly from your company, and they duly arrived the next day via UPS Red COD. Found out that using the controller with my StarBoard2 with the starboard directly on the Amiga and the controller attached to the starboard was subject to random crashes. Phone call to both CLtd and MicroBotics suggested reversing the order of add-ons, so we ordered the pass-through extender for the controller to do that. It was ordered also UPS RED COD shipping. This was two weeks ago, and the product has still not arrived. Three phone calls have resulted in only vague "we really don't know what's happened to your order" and no hardware. At this point I am a little annoyed. I was willing to pay for overnight shipping for a reason, and to still be waiting two weeks later for the overnight order is a bit much. I don't know what the situation is in the sales department, but hopefully your hardware is not this sloppy! Hopefully the needed piece will arrive shortly and I'll be able to find out, but this hasn't been an auspicious start. If there is anything you can do to aid in this, all help would be appreciated!

Ed may get mad at me for saying this, but at times I'm convinced he doesn't have any shipping department. Techs take items to the shipping desk for that day shipping, and they stay there, no matter the urgency, from a day or two to a week or two or more. Stuff I expected, by their claim, first last Wednesday (not shipped as of the weekend), then yesterday still has not arrived. I am getting a bit annoyed. BTW, what city are you in? I'm in Manhattan, and I admit that is not an ideal place for a delivery.

Ron – I can well believe that I am not the only person that has had trouble with them. In fact, I have heard other complaints from people here, stories from dealers, but prior to this, hadn't had any direct experience with them. BTW – today a UPS red package arrived from them – with PAL chips, which they had already sent two weeks ago. No extender. Sigh. I'm not in a city – I live in rural Montana, which is not ideal place for a delivery either, except that everybody else seems to be able to get stuff here.

I'm convinced that with someone who knew how to handle shipping, most of our complaints would disappear overnight (pardon the pun). I'm picking up my package from fed exp this morning – 9 days after I expected to get it. I'm also a bit ticked that it took them quite a while to admit that one of the scsi chips they had bought could be very flaky. BTW, any time you want to move to NYC! Ron

I first heard about this Monday, And a second pass thru was sent out then. You should have gotten at least one of them by now, if not please give ma a call.

Charlie – well, I received a UPS red package from C Ltd today – another set of PAL chips, no pass through. Certainly not a second pass through. My secretary will call you in the AM to find out what to do with the PAL chips, and to see if we can finally get this straightened out.
