Got a problem for you. We just sold a customer an A2620 board to add to his
A2000. He also has the AT Bridgeboard in his machine. He has found that if
he puts SETCPU 1.4 in his s-s and uses the FASTROM option, the machine
crashes with a GURU 4 when he tries to start up the BB side of things. If
he leaves off the FASTROM option, then all is OK. I have suggested that he
get ahold of SETCPU 1.5 and see if that helps. Would you have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
There is/was a problem with the Janus software that caused problems with
SetCPU 1.4 and the FASTROM option. There is hope, though. Just get a hold
of the newer version of SetCPU – 1.5 which should be here in the library
somewhere. Hazy was able to get around the problem, and FASTROM now works
with the Janus software. I had the same problem with SetCPU 1.4, and
generally turned off the FASTROM the few times I needed to use the
MessyDOS-on-a-stick. Don't have to with SetCPU 1.5 – works fine.
