Yup – I'm not pushing sour grapes, just looking for a way that I can earn
enough so I can do more extensive development work on the Amiga. If I were
to miss the mark with a BlitzDisk-only package, that would probably be the
last thing I'd be able to do in the Amiga market. Microsmith's best
resource is development, not marketing; I'm opting to take the risks on new
technical development rather than repeating a marketing risk which has
proven, at least for Microsmiths, to be at best a 50-50 shot to break
even.
Charlie,
So why not have your products marketed by another company? —Mike
'Sat an offer, or an inquiry C-:. Seriously, probably the next product I
release for the Amiga will be published elsewhere, unless it's a game. If
anyone would like to submit a serious proposal offering to publish a
BlitzDisk-only package, I'll be glad to listen to ideas; for now,
supporting BlitzDisk as part of the TxEd Plus package has worked well for
us by increasing the value of that package without adding significant
support overhead of managing multiple products.
